Michaels' health issues began in 2010, when he suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a type of stroke that occurs when there is bleeding into the space surrounding the brain. The incident left him with a long and arduous recovery process, during which he had to relearn how to walk and talk. But Michaels was determined to get back on stage, and with the support of his fans and loved ones, he slowly began to rebuild his strength and endurance.

Fast forward to the present, and Michaels is still going strong. As he approaches his 60th birthday, he's reflecting on the lessons he's learned and the challenges he's overcome. "Turning 60 is a big deal," he says. "It's a milestone, and it's a reminder that life is precious. I've been through some tough times, but I've always tried to stay positive and focus on the things that matter most to me - my music, my family, and my fans."

Michaels' journey to 60 has not been without its setbacks, however. In addition to his stroke, he's also battled diabetes and undergone numerous surgeries, including a procedure to repair a heart condition. But through it all, he's remained committed to his craft, continuing to tour and record music with Poison and as a solo artist.

So what's the secret to Michaels' resilience? For him, it's all about attitude and perseverance. "I've always been a fighter," he says. "When I was diagnosed with diabetes, I could have given up. When I had my stroke, I could have given up. But I didn't. I kept pushing forward, and I never lost sight of my goals. And that's what I want to pass on to my fans - the idea that no matter what life throws at you, you can always get back up and keep going."

As Michaels looks to the future, he's excited to see what's next. He's currently working on new music and has a number of tour dates lined up with Poison. And as he blows out the candles on his 60th birthday cake, he'll be surrounded by the people and things he loves - his family, his friends, and his fans. "It's going to be a wild ride," he says with a grin. "And I'm honored to have all of you along for the ride."
